Wen-GAGE Parent Access:

Wen-GAGE Parent Access provides parents or guardians round-the-clock access to real-time information about their child’s attendance and grades. It also provides a means for teachers to communicate with parents or guardians about class events and assignments, and ways they can help their child at home. Parents or guardians can contact teachers via email – teachers’ addresses are linked right on the front page.

Getting Started:

All of you should have received a letter, which was sent home, that gave you your students’ user name and password . If you did not receive this letter please notify the office. Note: For security reasons we do not e-mail this information or give out passwords or user names over the phone.

FAQ:

Here are some frequently asked questions to help access and manage the portal;

  • What is the web address of the service

    The website for the Parent Portal is: https://ok.wengage.com/OSD
    Be sure to set a bookmark for this page for convenience.

  • The password you gave me will be too hard to remember. Can I change it?

    Yes! Click "Options" in the right hand corner of the screen after you have logged in the first time, and you will be presented with the option to change it. (NOTE: School personnel will not be able to see your password.)

  • Will I need to re-enroll at the beginning of next school year to continue to use this service?

    Not at all. Your enrollment in the program will not change unless it is requested or you no longer have a student enrolled. Even if you leave the district for awhile and then come back, as long as you let us know you are re-enrolling, your old user name and password should still work!

  • Will this service work on my cell phone?

    Yes. (Unless its a flip-phone or it still has a physical, pull-out antenna on it.)

  • Is there an app?

    No. It's just a website (https://ok.wengage.com/OSD) and it should open in any modern browser on any device.

  • Do I need a user name and password for each kid I have enrolled?

    Yes (at this time). You should receive a letter for each of your students. At this time we are still working with our new system to find any errors. This may change next year.

  • After I log into the system, I don't see my student. What do I do?

    The best thing to do to start with is to send an e-mail to the address on the right of this screen with enough information to look into the problem.
    Full names of both you and the student, as well as the student's grade would be a minimum amount of information we could start with.

  • Why are grades PK-2 not supported in this program?

    The Primary needs more time to modify how grades are assigned as well as how best to break up the curriculum into traditional looking classes to fit the format of this service.

  • If grades PK-2 aren't supported, why are they included in my student list after I login to see my older kids?

    When we enabled the system, we had to enable it for all grade levels so by default, the students in grades PK-2 will show up in a parent's list of students. This is normal. The good news is that as time progresses, you as a parent will not need to do anything to see any changes we make to these grade levels in the future. Once we make changes to the grading system, those changes will automatically show up in your portal.

  • Will Grades PK-2 be more involved in this program in the future.

    Yes and No. Our goal is to implement the program better for at least 1st and 2nd grade by the 2017 school year. Kindergarten may also be included as well. Pre-K classes probably will not be included...

  • Is there training available to learn some of the cool things this service can do?

    Yes there is. Once you log in to the system you can find a training video link in the upper left hand corner of the screen. You can also access the video HERE.
    (NOTE: These videos are not currently captioned but we are working on the problem.)

  • My student turned in an assignment today. Why is there not a grade for it in the portal yet?

    Assigning grades to completed work takes time. After an assignment is turned in it may take a day or three for the teacher to get the grade put into the system.

  • When I try to access the site from my house on my older computer running Windows XP, I have "issues".

    Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft so newer versions of Internet Explorer are not being made available to run on it. Your best bet for a free solution is to download and use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox as your web browser. We recommend Chrome for Windows XP. You can download it for free from here: http://www.google.com/chrome (NOTE: It is not necessary to sign up for a Google account to use Google Chrome even though it may ask you to)

  • I'm Divorced. Will my ex be able to have access as well?

    Yes and No. Where the court has spoken, we will listen. If the non-custodial parent still has court protected rights to the student then the answer is Yes. If those rights have been revoked by the court for any reason then the answer is no.

    HOWEVER, Currently we are only enrolling the guardian who, in our management system, is listed as the primary. That is not because we are trying to be mean or discriminate against any parent with rights to see their students' progress. We are only limiting enrollment at this time because of the workload on our side.

    Our goal is to get at least one guardian per student actively involved in this program. We will come back at a later time and add the second guardian as soon as we complete "Phase One". (NOTE: This situation does not prevent any parent, custodial or not, with rights to review or request a student's information using our traditional methods.)
