Campus Audiology Services

Clinical and Educational Audiology Services are now available on campus 

  • Hearing Screening and Monitoring 
  • Diagnostic Hearing Evaluations (age 3 - 21, enrolled in school) 
  • Speech Perception Testing 
  • Hearing Aid Fitting and Maintenance (students enrolled at OSD and/or qualify for the CHAP) 
  • Cochlear Implant Service 
  • Assistive Listening Equipment

Traveling Audiology Services

The Oklahoma School for the Deaf (OSD) is proud to offer traveling educational audiology services to schools and students throughout Oklahoma. Our educational audiologists travel statewide to provide comprehensive hearing services, support school personnel, and help students with hearing needs succeed in the classroom.

Services Available

Our educational audiology provides:

• Assistance with school hearing screenings

• Basic hearing evaluations

• Assistive listening technology consultations, including FM systems, remote microphone systems, and other classroom hearing solutions

• Functional Listening Evaluations (FLEs) to assess a student's listening needs and classroom performance

• Faculty and staff training on hearing loss, communication strategies, hearing aids, cochlear implants, and assistive listening technology

• Hearing conservation programs for students

• Participation in IEP and Section 504 meetings, including interpretation of hearing evaluations and recommendations for educational accommodations

Meet Our Educational Audiologist

Teresa Mazza, Au.D., CCC-A, COHC

Dr. Teresa Mazza serves as OSD's full-time Educational Audiologist. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Washburn University in 2002 and her Doctor of Audiology degree from Wichita State University in 2012.

Dr. Mazza has extensive experience providing diagnostic audiology services for children and adults. She began her audiology career at Landrum ENT in Ada, Oklahoma, in 2012 and joined the Oklahoma School for the Deaf in August 2020. Today, she partners with schools across Oklahoma to provide educational audiology services, helping students access the hearing technology, accommodations, and support they need to succeed in the classroom.
